Settling back into life in Park Slope. With all the recent travel its felt like we have been out of town for quite a while.

Izzy played football ("soccer") this morning. Loves it. Just fails to follow the coach's instructions....

Who is she like I wonder !

Planning to take some time off next weekk to witness the footy skills ....

My kinda town.... Just spent the week in Chicago. Was there for a training seminar with work. Very useful actually.
A hectic schedule with not much freetime to see the city. Fortunately, we were staying very near to the Hancock Tower which allowed me to snap a couple of pics.

Nice to be back at home. It's been another long week for me and Caroline.

Returned from London on Sunday evening. Flight was ok, although the circumstances of our trip back to the UK were tragic. Still cannot believe it happened.

Toby was oblivious to it all, lucky fella. We were able to get a portable crib for him on the flight, whihc made things easier.

Our thoughts are with Gemma, Sue, Andy and Ellie as well as Carol and Daria

Spent the last 2 days sorting out Toby's travel documents.

This involved getting a birth certificate (his original had not been processed), which then enabled us to get a passport for him.

Exciting really.

I just wish the circumstances surrounding our travel plans were different.... Much different.

So, Grandma and Grandad arrived in Brooklyn on Thursday night. Arrived too late to see the grandchildren so waited until Friday morning for that.

Izzy was very excited about them being here. Toby, to be fair, had no idea what was going on. Lovely to see them, both looking well and we are all very excited to be spending some time with them. Nothing much planned, just some time together.
