Back to work...and boy, what a day....

New files, older files, new trips to loss locations needed....Its non stop...

Still getting home and seeing this little fella....work is put behind me......

Wanted to share this pick with everyone. Been a while since Toby and Izzy featured and to be fair one or both of them are in 95% of the pictures we take.

It's probably the reason people check in on the blog. I don't imagine its to see my arty photos !

Beach Life !

We made a trip out to one of the town beaches on Long Island today. Perfect weather....I think its a beach we'll return to. Very quiet, very easy to get to the sea and sand from the car and lifeguards to keep an eye on things.

Lovely day. Izzy loved being in the water, though she was not that keen on sand between her toes... !!

Toby loved being able to kick his feet up...

An somehow, we managed to avoid getting sand absolutely everywhere.....

Hoorah, its the weekend.....and a long weekend too....It's Memorial Day Monday, so the office is closed. Monday marks the start of summer. Looking forward to the weekend and fun with the family.

I also get a date tonight as Granny is here to babysit...

Oh yeah..Party time !! I'm as happy as Mr Potato Head !

England's Green and Pleasant Land

Flew into London on Monday morning. Overnight flight. Then out again Monday night to Germany....then back to London Wednesday and home Wednesday night......

Unfortunately, all work, work work

Spent Sunday morning in Soho. We went in early to meet with one of Caroline's friends from home.

It was nice to be there early as it was incredibly quiet. I suspect Soho, being a prty neighbourhood, does not wake up until 11 am onwards !

That makes it easy for us (and anyone with children) to beat the rush !

Been running around the city in Taxi's a lot this week. Mostly work related. Some early starts and meetings in midtown.

The drivers really are crazy, zipping around in what's nothing more than a big yellow go-kart. One pedal for speed, another to slow down (they don't use that one as much)

They've added a credit card facility to most of the cabs now, which is a real advantage and avoids you having to carry tons of cash, just in case ! And in many cases they work. Most cabs used to have them but the drivers would always claim they were broken. Maybe the laws or penalties have changed.

Spent a lot of time thinking about Mark tonight. Not sure what triggered it. I think perhaps tonight was the first night we really sat around not doing too much. I'm excited about the weekend and having fun with the family and that made me feel incredibly sad about all the lovely things he will miss.

Meanwhile Isabelle and Toby are oblivious to it all, he's all smiles and she's running around having lots of fun.

I'd love some of their childhood innocence.
